paediatric first aid training

Paediatric First Aid is First aid for infants and children and differs in many ways from first aid performed on adults. While there is some cross over dealing with an infant is more complex and does require specific training. Rosecroft Health and Safety provide Ofqual regulated paediatric First Aid qualifications which meet in part (1-day Emergency Paediatric First Aid) or in full (2-day Paediatric First Aid) the guidelines and criteria as laid down by the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Ofsted. We also deliver courses for parents, grandparents and informal childcarers who don’t need a First Aid qualification but want the knowledge and skills to respond in a potentially live saving, emergency situation. First Aid really does save lives.

1 day emergency paediatric first aid

This Level 3 one-day Emergency Paediatric First Aid qualification course is suitable for anyone responsible for children at work or home. Whether you are a nanny, au pair, child minder babysitter, group leader, parent or grandparent, this is a good course for you.

The course gives a basic grounding in the essential theory and practice of paediatric First Aid, from dealing with minor injuries to life saving practices. It gives you the confidence to act in situations such as sudden illnesses and accidents

This course partly fulfils the requirements of Ofsted and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). It makes up the first half of the 12-hour course. Ofsted and the EYFS requires you to have 12 hours of paediatric First Aid training. The 2-Day Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid is required to fulfil their requirements.

2 day paediatric first aid

This two-day Paediatric First Aid qualification is ideal for individuals who are responsible for children and infants, who wish to gain an Ofqual regulated Level 3 Award.

It is for those who are working with children and infants. It will be of particular interest to teachers, child minders, crèche assistants, playgroup personnel and anyone else who has a responsibility for the welfare of babies and young children.

The course satisfies the guidelines and criteria as laid down by the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Ofsted. To obtain this qualification, you must attend both days and complete the two units of accreditation.
